Music

I play and study jazz, whatever it is; nobody really agrees. A lifetime ago I was a classical pianist by training who held an ARCT diploma from the Royal Conservatory, but ragtime led me astray.

In the past I have performed with big bands and vocal groups, as an accompanist for singers and instrumentalists at all levels of expertise, in combo settings, and as a solo artist. If you wish to hire me for a banquet, wedding, May Ball, or any other event that puts a premium on inoffensive ambience—as previous clients of mine have done to considerable satisfaction—rest assured my avant-gardist indulgences will remain at bay. On top of the traditional repertoire of the Great American Songbook and the standard trinity of blues, bebop, and bossa nova, I specialize in the music of Code-era Hollywood pictures and Nintendo games.

I am not Fats Waller, so if you are not Al Capone, kidnapping is discouraged as a method of retaining my services.

This is typically where you would expect to find some demonstration recordings. I am currently engaged in producing a new set and will post a handful of samples here when ready.

Back in the mid-2000s I dabbled in producing my own arrangements of video game music. I have now been away from it for a number of years, but as I still receive enquires from VGM collectors to this day, several of my old recordings are available on this site.
